She has done it again. Beyonce has released another surprise album titled Lemonade. The 12-track album is allegedly about Beyonce’s cheating husband, Jay Z. Much like her last self-titled album that had a video for each song, she also released the “Lemonade Film” along with the album that goes with each song.

The album includes many different types of music. Beyonce really expanded her style and it is showcased in Lemonade. “Lemonade is her most emotionally extreme music, but also her most sonically adventurous,” said Rollingstone.com.

Two tracks that stand out include “Hold Up” and “Sorry”; both of which are unquestionably about Jay Z. In the track “Hold Up”, she talks about how she has treated him better than anyone else could and states, “Hold up, they don’t love you like I love you”, while he does not treat her like she deserves. This song showcases Queen B’s incredible voice and is a good upbeat song that anyone would like.

“Sorry” is a great track that is a perfect song to celebrate your independence. This song is all about not being sorry for other people’s mistakes. It is upbeat and makes you want to be a strong, independant woman.

Another incredible track on the album is “Formation.” This song is definitely about making a statement. This song was released before the rest of the album as a single. The video was released with it as well. Each scene in the video was depicting a different conflict or scenario that has gone on in the world such as the riots last year protesting police brutality. This song is my favorite overall because of how loud it is in making a point.

Overall this album will have you thriving as an independent person with plenty of different songs to jam to. I would recommend this to anyone, as there are so many different styles of music included on the album.
