With winter rapidly approaching us, that means the seasonal closing of one of the greatest musical venues in the United States. Red Rocks ends its concert series this year towards the end of November and gets set to release shows and concerts for the following year. These are the shows most likely to get you, and keep you, on your feet.

WHO: Gary Clark Jr.

WHEN: September 4th at 7:30 PM (Tickets:$55.45-$91.50)

First on the list, we have Gary Clark Jr. Rock, soul, blues and a bit of hip-hop thrown into one complete artist meet Red Rocks on Sept. 4. Often times compared to Jimi Hendrix, Clark has established himself as one of the greatest guitarists this generation has seen. His most recent album, titled “This Land”, includes lyrics discussing today’s political topics such as racism and President Donald Trump. A true rockstar and definitely a show to catch before winter hits.

WHO: Jason Isbell and the 400 unit

WHEN: September 17th at 7:00 PM (Tickets:$40-$65)

Next, we have Jason Isbell and the 400 unit, an established Southern rock band with a strong lead singer. A sound similar to that of Ray LaMontagne, the music will have you crying tears of joy and sadness. Slow melodic guitar playing and fast enthusiastic drumming fill the show with many moments to remember. The amphitheatre will enhance the band’s instruments to make you feel alive and into the show.

WHO:Mac DeMarco

WHEN:October 6th at 7:00 PM (Tickets:$39.50-$68.99)

Mac DeMarco is one of the more prominent indie singers in today’s music industry, with hits like “Chamber Of Reflection” and “Salad Days”. With his unique voice and musical style, Demarco quickly hit fame as an underground artist. A performance at Red Rocks is sure to be a show of a lifetime with Demarco in control. Along with Demarco, Thundercat will be opening the show. Thundercat is a talented bassist who’s worked with R&B rappers like Mac Miller and Anderson.Paak.

WHO: Tyler, The Creator

When: October 7th at 7:00 PM (Tickets:$49.50-$85)

Fresh off his 5th studio album “IGOR”, Tyler, The Creator has put his name at the top of the list for album of the year. With hits like “EARFQUAKE” featuring Playboi Carti and “I THINK” featuring Solange, Tyler sent shockwaves within the music industry. Expanding into musical styles he had never produced before, Tyler reinvented himself. Opening for the star will be Blood Orange and GOLDLINK. If there’s a show to see at Red Rocks, it’s Tyler, The Creator.

Honorable Mentions:

Tyler Childers (Folk): September 30th at 7:00 PM

Vampire Weekend (Indie Rock): October 8th-9th at 7:00 PM
