“Still Striving ” album review

Still Striving album review

With a highly anticipated release of a new mixtape, some A$AP Ferg fans were extremely disappointed when the mixtape didn’t reach the sales and listens that were expected. Although the mixtape grossed some slightly disappointing numbers, don’t let that scare you away from actually listening to the mixtape because it goes hard, and there is a guarantee that you won’t leave disappointed.

At first glance of A$AP’s Ferg’s new mixtape, “Still Striving”, it seems he barely makes an appearance in his own mixtape. In a DJ Khaled-escque manner, Ferg provides a guest appearance on almost every song that was produced on this mixtape. These appearances were made by a wide variety of artists such as Lil Yachty, Migos, Meek Mill and Nav. In no way does that take away from Ferg’s flow and songwriting skills though. He still comes out and provides extremely high quality content throughout the entire mixtape.

Throughout his entire career, Ferg has had some of the best lyrics to rap along to and this mixtape is no exception. With upbeat songs like Plain Jane and East Coast, it’s hard to actually stay still while listening to them.

One of the song’s that have had the widest range of acceptance throughout the mixtape is “The Mattress REMIX”. Though some listeners found it to be extremely repetitive, they must have never listened to any of Ferg’s track’s because practically every song he releases has a catchy chorus and spits a bit of repetitiveness throughout the whole song. One listener thought this song was the peak of the entire mixtape.
