Home run season

Home+run+season

This past Saturday the HR baseball team went to Bear Creek to play Dakota Ridge and Bear Creek. In the first game against Bear Creek the boys won 17-7 after being down 6-0. In the second game they lost to Dakota Ridge and their amazing season ended.

Zac Dammel, junior infielder, said, “It was a fun season and I really wish we could’ve kept going. I’m going to miss all these seniors.” The boys had a great season, from a walk off home run from Morgan McIntosh, senior captain, to an amazing diving catch from Brett Newman, senior captain. This season has been amazing.

Newman said, “It’s a sour sweet feeling knowing that was my last game. I’m going to miss all the memories I made with the team, but also cannot wait for what’s ahead.” Brett Newman will be attending Regis University to play baseball.

McIntosh said, “Freshman year, winning a game was a cause for celebration. To see how far we have come in four years is awesome. This team is awesome and although the season ended earlier than we wanted it was a lot of fun.”

The HR baseball team ends a great season losing to Dakota Ridge. It was a tough loss but as Dammel said, “ I have one more year; I’m going to make sure I make every moment count.”
