Chino, California — In-N-Out Burger is continuing its California expansion, with four new restaurant locations now listed as “opening soon” on the company’s website.
The additions will give fans in several parts of Southern and Northern California more opportunities to order the chain’s famous Double-Double burgers, Animal Style fries and milkshakes.
Founded in Baldwin Park in 1948, In-N-Out has grown from a small Southern California drive-thru into one of the most recognizable fast-food chains in the western United States. Despite its growth, the company has maintained its private ownership and continues to operate under a business model that has kept the brand closely tied to the western U.S.
Four New California Locations Are Coming
The four California restaurants currently listed as “opening soon” are spread across different communities.
The new locations include:
- 8245 Pine Ave. in Chino
- 6233 Telegraph Ave. in Commerce
- 1221 Santa Anita Ave. in South El Monte
- 10537 Trinity Pkwy. in Stockton
The additions will expand In-N-Out’s presence in both Southern and Northern California, giving customers in those areas another nearby option for the chain’s menu.
However, In-N-Out has not announced official opening dates for any of the four locations.
That means customers may have to wait for additional updates before knowing exactly when they can walk through the doors or pull into the drive-thru lanes.
Woodland Hills Location Is Still Missing
One California project that has not yet appeared on the company’s “opening soon” list is a new In-N-Out location in Woodland Hills.
The restaurant is planned on the far west end of Ventura Boulevard near Fallbrook Avenue. The exterior of the building appears to be largely completed, and the In-N-Out exterior sign is already in place.
Despite those visible signs of progress, the Woodland Hills restaurant has not been included among the four California locations currently identified as “opening soon.”
That could change as construction progresses and the company gets closer to announcing an opening date.
In-N-Out Continues to Grow Without Franchising
In-N-Out’s expansion is notable because the company has continued growing while remaining privately owned and largely company-operated.
Unlike many major fast-food chains, In-N-Out does not rely on a traditional franchise model. CEO Lynsi Snyder has previously indicated that she does not plan to franchise the business.
That approach has allowed the company to maintain tight control over its restaurants, menu and operations as it expands into new markets.

The chain now has more than 400 restaurants across 10 states, with California accounting for the majority of its locations.
New Mexico Expansion Is Next
California is not the only state where In-N-Out’s footprint is growing. The company has announced plans to enter New Mexico, which would become its 11th state.
The expansion reflects the chain’s continued growth across the western United States while maintaining its geographic limits. In-N-Out has not pursued a nationwide expansion strategy, and Snyder has previously said she does not expect the company to expand to the East Coast during her lifetime.
For now, the focus remains firmly on the western states where the brand has built its customer base.
Another New Location Is Coming to Tennessee
Outside California, In-N-Out is also preparing another restaurant in Hendersonville, Tennessee. The location at 100 N. Anderson Lane is also listed as “opening soon,” although the company has not provided an official opening date.
The Tennessee expansion shows that the burger chain continues to move beyond its traditional California base while carefully selecting new markets.
For California fans, however, the immediate news is closer to home: four new restaurants are officially listed as opening soon, with another Woodland Hills project progressing separately.
Until opening dates are announced, customers in Chino, Commerce, South El Monte and Stockton will have to wait a little longer for their first meals at the new locations.
