DENVER (KDVR) — Aurora police are investigating a terrifying early morning shooting that left a neighborhood shaken after nearly 20 shots were fired at a home, narrowly missing a baby’s crib—all of it caught on a resident’s security camera.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. on June 26 in the 3600 block of South Gibraltar Circle. Officers responded to the scene after multiple 911 calls reported the gunfire.
A video shared with FOX31 captures 19 rapid shots fired from a moving vehicle, which then sped away down the street. One neighbor who sent in the footage said a bullet passed within inches of a baby’s crib, highlighting just how close the situation came to being deadly.
Police said numerous shell casings were found outside the home, but thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Authorities believe the attack was targeted, though a motive remains unclear. The District Investigation Bureau is now handling the case.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Aurora Police Department as they continue to investigate.
