Colorado Parents to Receive Vaccine Reminders for School-Aged Children

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — On Wednesday, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will begin notifying families whose children aged 7 to 18 may be due for routine vaccinations through text messages or emails.

According to the Colorado Immunization Information System, over 470,000 children across the state are behind on their routine vaccines, including those required for school enrollment.

If a child is already up to date on vaccines, parents can submit proof by completing a secure online form so that records can be updated in the Colorado Immunization Information System.
