MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo. (KXRM) — A Pikes Peak Cog Railway employee is in critical condition following an assault in the railway’s parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 16, according to the Manitou Springs Police Department (MSPD).
Police said the assault happened around noon at 515 Ruxton Avenue. At first, the victim’s condition was unknown. Authorities then asked for the public’s help in identifying two people of interest, a man and a woman, connected to the incident.
MSPD later confirmed both individuals have been located, though investigators are still working to determine their level of involvement.
“We thank the community and the Pikes Peak Cog Railway for their cooperation and assistance during this process,” MSPD officials said.
Police are asking anyone with information or video footage of the assault to contact El Paso County Dispatch at (719) 390-5555.
