Oklahoma City Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened Saturday afternoon near the OU Medical Center.
Just after 4 p.m., officers responded to reports of gunfire at an apartment complex in the 600 block of North Stonewall Avenue.
They found 28-year-old Davonta Mims with multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to OU Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say Mims was involved in an altercation with a woman when a third person shot him. Police interviewed everyone involved.
The case will be forwarded to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office to determine whether the shooter will face charges.
