COLORADO SPRINGS — A pedestrian suffered serious injuries in a crash Friday morning near Palmer Park, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
The collision happened at the intersection of South Carefree Circle and North Murray Boulevard, near North Academy Boulevard. CSPD said a vehicle struck the pedestrian, prompting an emergency response.
Following the crash, police closed eastbound South Carefree Circle at Whileaway Circle, all of North Murray Boulevard, and the westbound left turn lane of South Carefree Circle. Drivers were urged to use alternate routes, as the road remained closed for several hours.
The Major Crash Team is leading the investigation. As of the latest update, the road has reopened.
