Northbound I-25 Reopens After Shots Fired Arrest in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Northbound lanes of I-25 near North Academy Boulevard have reopened following a police response to a shooting incident earlier Friday.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of Henderson Avenue after reports of gunfire. Although a male victim was located at the scene, he was not injured.

Police spotted a vehicle fleeing the area and conducted a traffic stop on I-25 near North Academy. During the stop, officers arrested 27-year-old Justin Galan for felony menacing. He was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.

Lanes on northbound I-25 were temporarily closed during the incident but reopened by 12:40 p.m.
