The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a man early Sunday morning after he allegedly fired a gun during a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend.
The incident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on July 27. Police responded to a call reporting a shooting in the 300 block of North Murray Boulevard, near Platte Avenue.
According to CSPD, 23-year-old Corbin Rivera confronted the woman’s current boyfriend, threatened him with a handgun, and then fired a shot into the ground during the altercation.
Rivera now faces multiple charges, including felony menacing, unlawfully carrying a concealed weapon, and prohibited use of weapons. He was booked into the El Paso County Criminal Justice Center.
