OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — Two people were hurt in a semi-truck crash early Friday morning on northbound I-35 near the I-44 ramp, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 5 a.m., trapping both the driver and a passenger inside the semi for nearly two hours before rescue crews freed them.
Emergency responders transported both individuals to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, their injuries are reported to be non-life-threatening.
OHP troopers remained at the scene to work on reopening northbound I-35. Investigators believe that speeding may have played a role in the crash.
