CSPD arrests man in neck stabbing case

COLORADO — Colorado Springs Police arrested a 42-year-old man accused of stabbing another man in the neck.

Just before 11:43 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, officers responded to a reported stabbing at 2400 Union Boulevard. They arrived to find the victim with a non-life-threatening neck wound.

Shortly after, officers located the suspect and arrested him without any issues. Investigators learned that the suspect and victim knew each other, and the altercation began in a nearby bar before moving to the parking lot.

Police identified the suspect as 42-year-old Phillip Conner. He was charged with first-degree assault and booked into the El Paso County Jail on the morning of Friday, July 25.
