Expect a high of 93° and a low of 75° today. The morning starts off mostly cloudy, but skies will become partly sunny by afternoon with scattered thunderstorms rolling in. It’ll feel extremely hot, with the heat index reaching up to 105° in some areas. High humidity will make it feel even warmer.

An Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect for Madison County until 7 p.m. Tuesday. With heat index values possibly hitting 111°, stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight when possible, and check in on elderly family members, children, and neighbors.

Allergy conditions today show moderate mold levels and low pollen counts for grass, ragweed, and trees. The UV index stands at a high 7, so wear sunscreen and protective clothing if you’ll be outside.

Looking ahead to tomorrow, temperatures will hover around 90° with a low of 75°. Expect humid conditions and more scattered storms under partly sunny skies. The “feels like” temperature may climb to 105° again.

If you’re heading outdoors, try to plan your activities early in the morning or later in the evening to dodge the worst of the heat and storms. Stay cool and stay safe.
