IDAHO FALLS — A 12-year-old girl at the center of an AMBER Alert has been found safe in Colorado, and both suspects are now in custody, authorities confirmed.
Tatiana Fuentes, who had been reported missing from her Idaho Falls home early Sunday morning, was safely recovered thanks to swift collaboration between law enforcement agencies across Idaho, Wyoming, and Colorado.
While additional details will be released later, Idaho Falls Police expressed their deep gratitude to community members, media outlets, and regional law enforcement partners for helping bring the girl home safely.
What Happened
Tatiana was last seen at her home around 11 p.m. Saturday. By Sunday morning, she was gone, prompting her family to report her missing around 11 a.m. Police immediately launched a search and issued an AMBER Alert, suspecting she had been abducted by two adult males.
Authorities believed she was possibly being taken to Colorado.
Around 9 a.m. Sunday, a Bonneville County sheriff’s deputy pulled over a dark blue 2012 Ford Focus with Texas plates (WBP6759) in the Swan Valley area. The driver was warned for speeding and released, but later, after the alert went out, the deputy recognized the girl in the back seat as Tatiana. That traffic stop gave investigators key information: vehicle details, license plate number, and images of both men from the deputy’s body camera.

Marvin Juan Godoy Castillo, 18, of Texas, was identified as one of the suspects.
-
The second suspect, believed to be about 20 years old, Hispanic, with dark hair and eyes, was seen wearing a black shirt and black hat at the time of the traffic stop.
