A woman was arrested Monday in Colorado Springs after allegedly breaking into several homes and assaulting a police officer, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
Officers responded around 11 a.m. to Crown Ridge Drive, just north of Old Colorado City, after reports that a woman had unlawfully entered three separate homes. In each case, the intruder was confronted and removed by the homeowners.
Police said the suspect, later identified as Lora Sibley, is known to live in the neighborhood.
While officers were taking her into custody, Sibley allegedly kicked one of them, causing pain to the officer’s leg. She was booked into the Colorado Criminal Justice Center on charges of felony assault and trespassing.
