COLORADO SPRINGS — A man is in custody after allegedly breaking into his ex-girlfriend’s home and assaulting her and another man early Sunday morning, July 6, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Officers responded to a domestic disturbance around 5 a.m. in the 600 block of Cana Grove, near South Murray Boulevard and East Fountain Boulevard. When they arrived, they found two victims bleeding from injuries and the suspect still at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Michael Sotelo-Ballesteros, reportedly entered the home with a knife and attacked both the woman and the man inside, according to CSPD.
While officers attempted to take him into custody, Sotelo-Ballesteros allegedly assaulted officers, causing minor injuries.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
