After the long, dreaded one year wait, Marvel fans across the world rejoiced as Marvel Studios finally released the conclusion to the Avengers storyline, following the previous Avengers film, “Avengers: Infinity War”. The question that lies ahead, however, is one that many may be wondering now, especially those that have yet to see the film. Does “Avengers: Endgame” really live up to the hype it presented, or does it lack a satisfying conclusion to a 10 year saga? Here lies a spoiler free review from the eyes of a student who not only grew up with these movies, but studied and lived them.

When the movie first begins, you have no idea what to expect. Will they revert what happened in Infinity War? What happened to this character or that character? These are probably the first questions that run through your head.
You will be caught by surprise, because this movie has a way of keeping you on your toes and then pushing you over when you least expect it. It’s much like a comedy for the most part, cracking jokes here and there similar to that of “Thor: Ragnarok”. This is a nice touch, as it allows us to get a few chuckles in before the tears start flowing.

With a massive run-time of just merely over three hours long, it is recommended you take your potty break before the movie because every single second is of utmost importance and I can promise you that you will not want to miss a single thing. There’s excitement, laughs, lots of ‘oh my god’ moments, and tears waiting on the other side of the theatre doors.

“Avengers: Endgame” is a rollercoaster of a movie, and I can admit that it did very much live up to its name. However, there are a few bits and pieces that almost feel unnecessary, telling fans stuff they should already know by now after 10 long years of movies. All-in-all, “Avengers: Endgame” is definitely a must-see. I highly recommend this movie to Marvel fans and non-Marvel fans alike, you won’t regret it.
