1 Killed, Another Injured After Pedestrians Struck by Car in Aurora

A man is dead and another is hospitalized with serious injuries after a car struck two pedestrians walking along the shoulder of North Himalaya Road in Aurora on Sunday night.

Aurora police said the incident happened around 9:41 p.m., just north of East 64th Avenue. According to the initial investigation, three men were walking south on the road’s shoulder when a woman driving a Mazda sedan hit two of them from behind.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. One man died from his injuries, while the other remains in serious condition. Authorities have not released the names of the victims or the driver.

The third pedestrian and the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. No one has been taken into custody, and investigators do not believe alcohol played a role.
