Cannabis Company, Owner Permanently Banned from Colorado Market After Settlement

DENVER (KDVR) — A Greeley-based cannabis company and its owner are officially barred from operating in Colorado’s cannabis market, following a legal settlement with the state.

Attorney General Phil Weiser announced Monday that Gee Distributors, LLC and owner Christopher Landon Eoff, who also operated under the name CBDDY, are permanently prohibited from running any cannabis-related business in Colorado.

The ban follows a lawsuit filed last June, after an investigation found the company was illegally selling cannabis products falsely marketed as federally legal hemp. The AG’s office said Eoff falsified lab reports to downplay THC levels, skipped age verification, and even marketed products to children.

“Despite claims that these were hemp-based products, lab testing confirmed the THC content was far too high. These were marijuana products being sold illegally,” the AG’s office stated.

Though based in Greeley, the business mainly operated online, selling to Colorado residents and customers nationwide.

Eoff filed for bankruptcy after the lawsuit. While the settlement includes an $820,000 fine, payment is suspended unless Eoff is found to have misrepresented his finances or violates the terms of the settlement.
