One person was injured in a shooting Saturday night, Aug. 24, near the intersection of North Murray Boulevard and Platte Avenue, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).
Officers responded to the 500 block of Murray after reports of gunfire and found a victim on the ground with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. American Medical Response (AMR) and the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) provided medical aid before transporting the victim to the hospital.
CSPD reported finding several shell casings at the scene. The number of suspects and the motive behind the shooting remain unknown. The CSPD Assault Unit has taken over the investigation.
