CSPD Arrests Five Suspects, Recovers Stolen Vehicles in BATTLE Operations

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A series of coordinated operations by multiple law enforcement agencies led to the recovery of three stolen vehicles and the arrests of five suspects, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

The deployments were part of the ongoing Beat Auto Theft Through Law Enforcement (BATTLE) initiative, involving CSPD, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO), and the Colorado State Patrol (CSP).

Burglary Leads to First Arrests

On Thursday, July 24, CSPD launched an investigation into a burglary at a home on Tree Creek Trail, near East Woodmen Road and Rangewood Drive.

According to CSPD, 29-year-old Chance Davidson entered the homeowner’s unlocked garage and stole a Ford Explorer along with a 9mm handgun left inside the vehicle.

Detectives tracked Davidson to an apartment complex near Centennial Boulevard and Fillmore Street, where they saw him with passenger 30-year-old River Sealock. As officers moved in, Davidson and Sealock fled on foot and got into another car driven by 29-year-old Jesse McCoon.

EPSO deputies quickly blocked McCoon’s vehicle, and all three suspects were taken into custody.

  • Davidson: Charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Obstruction, and Eluding

  • Sealock: Charged with Motor Vehicle Theft and Obstruction

  • McCoon: Charged with Accessory to Motor Vehicle Theft

CSPD identified both McCoon and Sealock as prolific offenders with active warrants for prior motor vehicle theft cases.

Additional Arrests in Separate Deployments

During two other BATTLE operations, officers made two more significant arrests:

  • Daniel Flore, 49 — Arrested at the Antero Apartments in southeast Colorado Springs on a Lakewood warrant for Motor Vehicle Theft.

  • Jashua Kresky, 43 — Arrested on a Vehicular Eluding warrant and charged with Motor Vehicle Theft after police discovered him in another stolen car.

Ongoing Efforts Against Auto Theft

Authorities said these arrests highlight the success of the BATTLE initiative, which combines local and state resources to combat rising motor vehicle theft in Colorado Springs and El Paso County.

CSPD and partner agencies confirmed that additional deployments are planned in the coming weeks to continue targeting repeat offenders and recovering stolen vehicles.
