The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) confirmed an active investigation into potential human remains in Teller County.
According to CSPD, the investigation is connected to the 2019 murder of Jepsy Kallungi, whose remains have never been located.
Jepsy’s husband, Dane Kallungi, was convicted of her murder in 2023.
CSPD said they are working with the FBI to follow up on leads in the area. As of now, no human remains have been discovered.
