Denver Woman Crashes After Plowing Through 6 Backyards, Police Say

A Denver woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly stealing a car while intoxicated and crashing through six residential backyards in Sterling, Colorado, according to the Sterling Police Department.

Police say Savannah Jones began her destructive drive Friday night at 315 Hays Ave, crashing through fences, power transformers, and a large transformer box between 1300–1500 Platte Street. The vehicle finally stopped in trees and shrubs near an irrigation ditch between Walmart and 1415 Platte St.

Jones reportedly fled the scene but was later arrested. She is now facing charges related to auto theft and multiple traffic violations.
