A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect across northern Colorado until 9 p.m. Sunday, with storms capable of producing tennis ball-size hail, wind gusts up to 70 mph, and frequent lightning.
Storms are expected to form early Sunday afternoon and intensify as they move east across the plains. Most activity should exit the state by 9 p.m.
Flash flooding is also a concern, particularly east of Denver International Airport, where heavy rainfall may lead to hazardous conditions.
