San José Fugitive Arrested in Colorado, Tied to Sunset Court Homicide

The San José Police Department (SJPD) announced that the final suspect in a fatal April shooting has been captured after months on the run.

On Monday, U.S. Marshals arrested 25-year-old Kevin Le of San José in Colorado. Authorities say Le is linked to the city’s 6th homicide of 2025, which took place on April 1 at a home on the 90 block of Sunset Court.

The April Shooting

Officers responded to reports of a gunshot victim around 3:57 a.m. that day. They found an adult male suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite medical efforts, the victim died later at a hospital. Le had fled the scene before police arrived and remained at large until this week.

Multiple Suspects Identified

Detectives eventually identified five suspects connected to the case. Four were arrested earlier in the investigation, but Le managed to evade capture. Police shared his information publicly on social media in hopes of community tips.

Capture and Next Steps

With help from a tip placing Le in Colorado, SJPD detectives worked with the U.S. Marshals Service to track him down. He will be extradited to Santa Clara County, where he faces murder charges and will be booked into the Main Jail.

Ongoing Investigation

Sergeant Van Den Broeck and Detective Estantino of SJPD’s Homicide Unit are continuing the investigation. Police are still seeking information and encourage the public to come forward.
