2 Men Found Stabbed to Death Just Blocks Apart in Aurora — Police Investigating Connection

AURORA, Colo. (KDVR) — Two men were found fatally stabbed early Sunday on Aurora streets just blocks apart, sparking a major investigation as police work to determine if the crimes are connected.

First Discovery on Moline Street

Around 1:45 a.m., Aurora police responded to a call about an unresponsive man on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of Moline Street. Officers arrived to find the man with multiple stab wounds and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Second Victim Found Near Colfax and Peoria

Roughly five hours later at 6:30 a.m., police were called to a second scene — this time near a bus stop on Peoria Street, just south of East Colfax Avenue. Another man was found suffering from stab wounds and also died on the scene.

Both incidents occurred within blocks of each other in central Aurora.

“It is certainly concerning, and investigators are working hard to determine if there’s any connection,” an Aurora Police Department spokesperson stated in an email.

Investigation Ongoing

Aurora’s Major Crimes Homicide Unit is leading the investigation. As of now:
