Crews searching for missing Nebraska hiker in Rocky Mountain National Park

Search efforts are underway in Rocky Mountain National Park for 23-year-old Blake Kieckhafer of Omaha, Nebraska, who was reported missing by family on Monday.

Kieckhafer was last seen on Thursday, Aug. 7, around 5:20 p.m. in the Upper Beaver Meadows area after being dropped off by a rideshare service. The location is about a mile west of the Beaver Meadows Entrance along U.S. Highway 36 on the park’s east side.

He was last seen wearing a dark T-shirt, dark pants, and a dark baseball cap with no logo. He carried a small maroon daypack. Kieckhafer is described as 5’11”, 180 pounds, with buzzed blonde hair, a mustache, and blue-green eyes.
