Three Arrested After Woman Found Dead in Edmond Road

Three people are in custody after a woman’s body was found in the middle of a road in Edmond early Saturday morning.

The body was discovered near East 15th Street and Timberlake Avenue, close to Arcadia Lake, a normally quiet area. Neighbor Jeff Stone recalled the scene around 3:15 a.m., saying his wife alerted him to the police presence. “There were cop cars, basically, from this entrance down to the other entrance there,” Stone said.

A small cross decorated with flowers now marks the spot where 28-year-old Elsy Maria Delgado Gonzalez was found.

Police said one of their officers discovered Delgado after pulling over, initially thinking they were helping stranded motorists. Upon closer approach, they found the body.

Investigators determined Delgado had fallen from a moving vehicle, which then left the scene with two other occupants inside. Three suspects — Omar Alexis Rodriguez Cruz, Fernanda Valenzuela Mora, and Faruk Jose Del Nostro Campos — have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Edmond police confirmed charges against Valenzuela Mora and Del Nostro Campos for Accessory to a Felony. The investigation is ongoing.
