A Colorado State Patrol (CSP) trooper is facing criminal allegations.
On Monday, CSP announced that Trooper Brandon Stevens was arrested at his Alamosa home on suspicion of domestic violence and second-degree assault. He has been placed on administrative leave.
Stevens joined the Colorado State Patrol in April 2023 and has served at the Alamosa Troop Office since completing the Academy in fall 2023.
“The Colorado State Patrol and its members are here to ensure the safety of all persons and to uphold our core values of honor, duty, and respect,” the CSP statement said. “We take these standards seriously and understand that our mission’s success depends on maintaining the public’s trust and safety. We respect and defer to the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office and our judicial system regarding this charge.”
In light of the allegations, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is available 24/7 at 800-799-7233.
