A Colorado man says driving a Tesla Cybertruck feels like stepping into the future — and he’s loving every minute of it.
Posting under the name “Steelheart” on the Cybertruck Owners Club forum, the new owner shared that it’s been three weeks since he bought his 2025 AWD Cybertruck, and the experience has exceeded his expectations.
Having previously owned a Ford F-150 and a Toyota Tundra, Steelheart says switching to the Cybertruck is like “going from a typewriter to a laptop.” While those trucks cover the basics, he believes the Cybertruck stands in a league of its own when it comes to driving technology and performance.
One standout feature for him is Tesla’s steer-by-wire system, paired with rear-wheel steering — a combination he describes as “mind-blowing.” He says it delivers an unmatched driving experience that no other truck offers.
Interestingly, Steelheart says his only regret is paying for the Full Self-Driving (FSD) package — not because it doesn’t work well, but because the Cybertruck is simply too fun to drive. “Why let the computer take the wheel,” he writes, “when driving it is this enjoyable?”
Initially skeptical of the $80,000 price tag, Steelheart now sees it as a fair price for what he calls “driving the future.” He believes the real reason more people haven’t purchased the Cybertruck isn’t the cost — it’s that they haven’t taken one for a spin.
“I regretted buying FSD, but only because this truck is so much fun to drive,” he wrote in the forum. “FSD remains incredibly impressive. But the steer-by-wire system combined with rear-wheel steering is next level.”
Steelheart and his wife, both fans of the futuristic truck, agree: the Cybertruck delivers a driving experience unlike anything else on the road.
