A woman was shot and killed Wednesday night in Kansas City, Missouri’s Historic Northeast area.
Officers responded around 7:50 p.m. to the 4000 block of Morrell Avenue, where they found the woman unresponsive on the ground in front of a home. She was pronounced dead shortly after.
Police said the woman had been involved in an altercation with two other people before the shooting. Details about the dispute remain unclear, and her identity had not been released as of late Wednesday night.
This marks Kansas City’s 99th homicide of the year, up from 91 at the same time last year.
