Colorado Springs Police Introduce ‘Reading Roll Call’ to Connect with Kids Through Books

Colorado Springs Police have launched a new community initiative called Reading Roll Call, aiming to build stronger ties with local families by reading to children up to age 12 at area libraries.

“While our PlayCOS program continues to thrive, we wanted to expand our outreach by promoting the joy of reading,” CSPD shared on Facebook.

The department is teaming up with the Pikes Peak Library District to host the first few events. The kickoff will take place at Sand Creek Library on Thursday, Sept. 4, from 5 to 5:30 p.m.
