A 29-year-old woman died Tuesday night in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on I-44 in Oklahoma City, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The crash happened just before 10:30 p.m. when Syvannah L. Lopez was speeding while navigating a right-hand curve on westbound I-44 near N Martin Luther King Boulevard. She lost control, veered off the road, hit a cable barrier, and was thrown from her motorcycle.
Lopez was taken to OU Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead from her injuries.
OHP cited excessive speed and inexperience as factors in the crash.
