Colorado Springs Man Arrested Multiple Times With 46 Guns, Over 23,000 Fentanyl Pills

A repeat offender in Colorado Springs is facing a growing list of charges after two arrests led to the seizure of a massive stash of weapons, cash, and drugs — including enough fentanyl to potentially kill more than a million people.

According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), 45-year-old Orvle Embry was first taken into custody on April 9 by the Metro Narcotics Unit for felony eluding. A search of his vehicle revealed a staggering inventory of weapons, drugs, and cash:

  • Drug paraphernalia

  • Hundreds of rounds of loaded magazines

  • 5 rifles and 4 pistols

  • 2,351.26 grams of fentanyl (approx. 23,500 pills)

  • 14 grams of marijuana

  • 0.91 grams of LSD

  • 4.47 grams of prescription meds

  • 51.41 grams of heroin

  • 58.44 grams of cocaine

  • 411.89 grams of methamphetamine

  • $14,296 in cash

A follow-up search of Embry’s home on Hidden Circle uncovered more contraband:

  • 32.3 grams of meth

  • 13.5 grams of fentanyl

  • 5 firearms

  • 8.9 grams of cocaine

  • $2,266 in cash

Despite the serious charges, Embry was released on a $300,000 bond.

On July 27, an officer recognized Embry at a Walmart on Platte Avenue. While he was inside, police spotted drug paraphernalia in his truck. When Embry returned, officers arrested him and a woman following a brief foot chase.

That search revealed even more:

  • 8 handguns

  • 3 rifles

  • 439 fentanyl pills

  • 62.4 grams of meth

  • 5.5 grams of cocaine

  • $11,666 in cash

Just two days later, CSPD obtained a search warrant for Embry’s residence after learning he had asked someone to remove “illicit items” from his home. That raid uncovered:

  • 17 rifles

  • 4 pistols

Among the firearms was a short-barrel ghost gun. Ten of the 46 guns recovered during the investigation were reported stolen.

According to the DEA, as little as 2 milligrams of fentanyl can be fatal. The total amount seized from Embry — over 2,400 grams — is enough to kill more than one million people.

Embry remains in custody at the Criminal Justice Center. Additional charges are pending, CSPD confirmed.
