PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) — The Pueblo County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman who died in a boating accident at Lake Pueblo on July 19.
The victim was 43-year-old Jessica Carole Gaebler, who was pronounced dead at the scene that same day.
According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), early reports suggest the boat was in motion when Gaebler fell off the back and came into contact with the propeller.
The incident occurred near the North Shore at Denver Cove. Emergency crews from Pueblo West attempted life-saving efforts after she was brought to the North Shore Marina but were unable to revive her.
