PUEBLO, Colo. — A 43-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon at Lake Pueblo State Park after being struck by a boat propeller near Denver Cove, a mid-lake area close to the north shore.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on July 19. A Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) ranger nearby responded quickly, escorting the boat and the injured woman to the North Shore Marina, where emergency crews were standing by.
Despite life-saving efforts, the woman passed away about an hour later. Authorities have not yet released her identity.
The investigation is ongoing, according to CPW.
“CPW offers condolences to the family and friends of the victim and everyone involved in the incident,” said Joe Stadterman, Park Manager.
