UPDATE: Bomb Threat at Pueblo West Safeway Deemed Unfounded

(PUEBLO WEST, Colo.) — The Pueblo Metro Bomb Team has cleared the Market Plaza Safeway and confirmed there was nothing suspicious found at the scene, according to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).

A suspect has been identified in connection to the bomb threat and is expected to face charges.

The Safeway store in Pueblo West, located off Highway 50, was evacuated after a bomb threat was made against the US Bank branch inside the store.

Deputies and firefighters from the Pueblo West Fire Department responded and secured the area. Authorities asked the public to avoid the scene during the investigation.
