CSPD: Two Arrested After Fleeing From Stolen Car in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS — Two suspects were arrested after fleeing from a stolen car in Colorado Springs on Friday, July 18, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). Officers also discovered a significant amount of illegal drugs during the arrest.

Around 4 p.m., detectives spotted a stolen Nissan Altima near Chelton Road and East Fountain Boulevard. The vehicle was occupied by 38-year-old Jordan Edgar and 40-year-old Joshua Williamson. Officers attempted to pull them over near Jet Wing Drive and Hancock Expressway, but the suspects sped off and eventually abandoned the car in the middle of the road near the 3900 block of Astrozon Boulevard, close to South Academy Boulevard.

Both men fled on foot, but CSPD said detectives quickly located and arrested them nearby. During the arrest, officers reportedly found a large quantity of illegal drugs on Williamson.

Williamson now faces multiple charges, including Motor Vehicle Theft, Unlawful Possession and Distribution of a Controlled Substance, and Obstruction. Edgar is charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Felony Vehicular Eluding, and Obstruction.
