The FDA warns that salmonella can lead to serious and sometimes fatal infections, especially in young children, elderly individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. Common symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain, though rare complications like arterial infections or endocarditis may also occur.

Consumers who purchased the product are urged not to eat it. Instead, they should throw it away or return it to the store for a full refund. As of July 14, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the recall.
