PUEBLO, Colo. — A woman was killed in a tragic boating accident Saturday afternoon at Lake Pueblo State Park, according to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW).
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. near the North Shore at Denver Cove and involved a powered watercraft and contact with the engine propeller.
Emergency responders from Pueblo West Fire Department attempted life-saving measures after the 43-year-old woman was brought to the North Shore Marina, but she was pronounced dead shortly after 5 p.m. by the Pueblo County Coroner. Her identity has not yet been released.
CPW said local authorities are investigating the circumstances of the incident. No arrests have been made at this time.
