Due to the severity of the crash, CSPD’s Major Crash Team launched a detailed investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that a black SUV was heading north on Powers Blvd. and attempted a left turn onto westbound Fountain Blvd. when it was struck by a blue SUV traveling south.

The entire intersection remained closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene.

Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no further details about the victims have been released at this time.
