Basketball season is starting off for the Falcons. “I have good expectations for this season of basketball; we have a great lineup of players,” said Mr. Gilbert, freshman basketball coach.

Last year the freshmen were ranked number three in the pre-season poll at CHSAA. Freshmen, JV, and varsity have a lot to look forward to this season. “I’m very excited to see how this season turns out; I have high hopes for it; we have some great players,” said senior varsity player, Evan Motlong.

Having practice six times a week gives the Falcons the time and training they need to have successful games. “Each practice is around one and a half to two and a half hours; having quality practice really help us in our games,” said freshmen player, Alex Mickus.

Varsity’s record last year was 17-8 so get ready to see players like Zach Braxton, Cole Sundlof, Evan Montlong, Eric Dynes try and beat the previous record. Their first game of the season on December 3rd was a great start beating Lakewood, 57 to 54, giving the Falcons their first win.

There are many future games upcoming for the Falcons such as: Aurora Central, Grandview, Fossil Ridge, Dakota Ridge, Hinkley and Cherry Creek.
