Colorado Springs Woman Accused of Trespassing Kicks Officer During Arrest

COLORADO SPRINGS — A woman accused of unlawfully entering multiple homes on Crown Ridge Drive was arrested Monday after allegedly kicking a police officer during her apprehension.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded around 11 a.m. on July 7 to reports of a woman entering three separate homes without permission. In each instance, homeowners forced the suspect out.

The suspect, identified as Lora Sibley, was reportedly living nearby. When officers attempted to take her into custody, Sibley allegedly kicked an officer, injuring the officer’s left thigh, causing pain and stiffness.

Sibley was transported to the Criminal Justice Center and faces charges of felony assault on a peace officer and trespassing.
