Heat Danger Inside Cars
Interior car temperatures can become life-threatening within minutes—even if it’s just 80°F outside. In 20 minutes, the inside of a car can hit 109°F. Parking in the shade or cracking windows does not prevent deadly heat buildup.
Never leave children, older adults, pets, or anyone in a parked car—even briefly. Always double-check your back seat before locking up.
