Another Teen Fight at Gilbert In-N-Out Adds to Violence Tally; 2 Teens Arrested

GILBERT, Ariz. — A violent brawl involving teenage girls in the parking lot of a Gilbert In-N-Out Burger has led to the arrest of two teens, further escalating concerns about youth violence in the area.

Around 11:30 p.m. on July 5, Gilbert police responded to reports of a fight in the parking lot near Williams Field Road and Market Street. According to a July 6 news release, officers arrested a 15-year-old girl on charges of assault, disorderly conduct, and curfew violation after reviewing witness statements and video evidence.

The videos — widely circulated on social media — show the 15-year-old girl being attacked on the ground by multiple others, her hair pulled and face punched as onlookers recorded with their phones. In another clip, the same teen is seen throwing the first punch at another girl before being overwhelmed.

Police spokesperson Brenda Carrasco clarified that the incident began when the 15-year-old allegedly confronted two girls she suspected of egging her house. After she attacked them, those same girls retaliated, as seen in the viral videos.

A 16-year-old girl, seen wearing a red shirt in the footage, was also arrested on charges of assault and disorderly conduct. She fled the scene before officers arrived but was later identified and taken into custody. No further arrests have been made, though the investigation is ongoing.

Carrasco noted that the arrested teens are part of a broader problem of youth violence in Gilbert, which has included several brutal beatings tied to the so-called “Gilbert Goons” — a teen gang that recorded ambush-style attacks in recent years. The same In-N-Out location has been the site of at least seven known assaults, and was considered a regular hangout for the group.

Gilbert police stressed that their department is committed to cracking down on such violence and noted that officers were able to respond to the July 5 incident within four minutes thanks to regular patrols in the area.

“Violence will not be tolerated in Gilbert,” the department said in a statement. “We are firmly committed to investigating all incidents of teen violence and holding youth responsible for their actions.”

Authorities urged parents to be more involved in their children’s activities and to enforce local curfews. Teens under 16 are required to be home by 10 p.m., and those aged 16 to 18 must be home by midnight.
