KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Councilmembers Crispin Rea and Eric Bunch are stepping up for local youth by donating baseball equipment to the Redemptorist Social Services Center.
The donation will directly benefit participants in the Redemptorist Youth Recreation Program, which provides structured, positive activities in safe, supportive environments. The gear will be officially presented at Jarboe Park on July 8 at 6 p.m.
The contribution highlights the councilmembers’ commitment to empowering Kansas City’s youth and recognizing the impact of sports in shaping healthy, resilient communities.
“Youth sports are more than games—they are building blocks for healthy development, leadership, and stronger communities,” said Julie McCaw, Executive Director of the center. “We are incredibly grateful for Councilman Rea and Councilman Bunch’s partnership.”
The donation is expected to boost both the quality and reach of the program, giving more kids in the city a chance to grow through teamwork, discipline, and recreation.
