Traffic Changes Coming to 5 Missouri Counties as MoDOT Launches Pavement Sealing Projects

(KODE & KSN) – Drivers in Jasper, Barton, Lawrence, Barry, and Stone counties should prepare for traffic changes starting the week of July 14 as the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) begins pavement sealing work across multiple routes.

MoDOT officials confirmed that lane closures and detours will be in place as part of a $1.9 million project led by Blevins Asphalt Construction Co. of Mount Vernon.

Crews will apply a seal coat—a rock and oil mixture designed to preserve existing pavement and delay costly repairs. This method helps extend road life in a cost-effective way.
